DIGITAL PROGRESSIVE LENSES

HORIZONT 7.0
DIGITALLY-OPTIMISED PROGRESSIVE LENSES FOR NATURAL VISION
Adjusting to progressive lensescan be a gradual process, as you may have been told by your optician or by individuals who already wear them. It can take several days, or even months, to adapt to this type of lens.
DIGITAL PROGRESSIVE LENSES EXPLAINED
This adjustment period is essential because while these lenses provide clear vision for both near and far distances without interruptions or transitions, they require users to become accustomed to predefined vision spaces, particularly in the intermediate and near zones. This is especially important for activities such as using a computer or reading.

If you're currently using progressive lenses, you've probably experienced the natural vision they provide for distances from 1m to the horizon. However, you may have also noticed that for intermediate and close-up vision (the lower part of the lens), clear vision is limited to the central portion, and it tends to get blurry on the sides (see photo 1).

To see clearly up close or while reading, you need to adjust your head position to keep your eye within the "vision channel" of your progressive lens. When your eyes focus on the outer distortion areas, the resulting vision may become blurry.

HOW WAS HORIZONT 7.0 CREATED?
An evaluation of your unique visual characteristics can be conducted through a quick 2-minute test.
This test involves using a specialised augmented reality viewer connected to a computer. Through this setup, we can track the movements of a drone or a hummingbird in flight, which are the two subjects used to assess your eye movements.
During the 2-minute simulation, advanced technology will track your eye movements to create a detailed 3D digital map, which quantitatively represents how you perceive and interact with the world through your gaze!

The resulting digital matrix map is a precise representation of how each individual views the world around them.

The data collected is processed by specialised software to reconstruct the matrix map, which serves as the foundation for creating customised progressive lenses that adapt to your unique way of seeing.
WHAT HAS CHANGED?
The current generation of progressive lenses requires users to adapt their visual habits to the functioning of the lens, rather than the other way around.
